first of all, we'd like to send a big thank you out to rita, who sent the adorable swimming suit all the way from switzerland. she certainly inspired anna: as soon as it was unwrapped it HAD to be donned and danced in.

she says, "mom, can i say it? thanks, aunt rita. i look gorgeous in my swimming suit." she came up with that all on her own, no coaching necessary.

apologies for the shaky camera- i believe anna's mission in life is to keep us all in stitches.

being brand-new at blogging...

so, i got a (fairly) threatening phone call today telling me i'd better set up a blog or else.... and not wanting to be in trouble (or have people think less of me) here i am, joining the throng of worldwide bloggers. actually, since we don't seem to be able to stay in the same place for any significant amount of time, i think it may be a good way to keep in touch with people in lands far, far away. the grandparents will be thrilled with the prospect of seeing what's up with the family, friends in places high and low will have the chance to watch the kiddos growing up, and it will (i hope) get me to actually organize photos chronologically. what's not to love about that idea?

so, i guess the moral of the story is that coercion isn't always such a bad thing.

now, if i can just figure out how to format it the way i want it...
