while we were in oklahoma we visited the tiger safari in a little town called tuttle. it was 2 hours of very hands-on time with lots of wild animals. we saw and interacted with everything from lemurs to leopards, tortoises to tarantulas, military macaws to monkeys. we even got to feed the black bear- did you know they love grapes?
on our way home we stopped at the cherokee trading post and enjoyed browsing all the different indian articles there. pesche even bought me a pair of white turquoise earrings that are so pretty- i'll have to post a photo when i get a chance.
as it turns out, oklahoma is going to be our next home. we found out pesche's next project is in anadarko, oklahoma. because it is even smaller than lamar (i didn't know that was possible...), we will live about 20 minutes away in a town called chickasha (pronounced with a "shay" at the end). we'll only be 40 minutes from oklahoma city, which sure as heck beats the 2 hours we've been driving to find any shopping/food/movies/anything around here! wal-mart will still be the biggest thing in town, but at least it's a real wal-mart, not a trying-to-be-a-super-wal-mart-but-not-really-succeeding wal-mart like we have in lamar.
oklahoma, here we come! we'll keep you posted as to when the move is actually going to happen.
